Aspergers Education - Going to College

Though IEP’s do not follow a student to a college, your son should notify his advisor of his issues. Most colleges have services available to their students who have needs to be met. In a public college, there are services available to students with Asperger and other learning disabilities and can receive assistance, ie. notes, longer time to take a test, etc. The professor’s of his courses should be made aware of his situation as well, so they can offier him additional support. There are alternatives available to students with disabilities such as Aspergers, ADD you just need to pursue these options.
